At Opoura, we develop and deploy SCADA solutions used to operate wind farms, solar plants, batteries, and hybrid systems. The systems we build run in production environments, where reliability matters and where the details in configuration and integration make the difference.

We are looking for a SCADA Specialist to join our team in Silkeborg. The role sits close to the technical core of our deliveries and is suited for someone who takes pride in making systems work in practice.

Your role

The role focuses on implementation and configuration of OneView systems in customer projects. This includes communication setup, PLC configuration, and integration with customer environments.

Testing and troubleshooting are a central part of the work. Many issues arise in the interaction between systems rather than in individual components, which requires a structured approach to root cause analysis.

The work is carried out in close collaboration across the organization. With Sales Engineering when defining solutions, with R&D when deeper technical issues need to be understood, and with project teams to ensure that what is designed is also delivered and works on site.

Your main responsibilities

The work centers around implementing and making SCADA systems function in real environments. In practice, this includes:

• Implementation and configuration of OneView SCADA systems in customer projects

• Setup of communication, PLC controllers, and system components

• Integration with customer infrastructure and external automation systems

• Testing and diagnosis of technical issues during project execution

• Troubleshooting of issues related to communication, configuration, and system behavior

The role also contributes to improving how solutions are designed and delivered:

• Collaboration with Sales Engineering on technical input for new solutions

• Collaboration with R&D to resolve complex issues and improve system functionality

• Proposing improvements based on project experience and customer requirements

To be successful in this position, you:

Success in this role comes from taking ownership of technical tasks and following them through until the system is working as intended. It requires understanding how SCADA systems interact across layers and being able to troubleshoot beyond individual components.

You typically:

• Take responsibility for technical solutions and ensure they work in practice

• Understand interactions between SCADA, PLCs, communication protocols, and infrastructure

• Work in a structured and analytical way when diagnosing issues

• Are comfortable working independently while collaborating with other engineers

• Focus on delivering reliable solutions rather than quick fixes

Your background

You bring a technical foundation within SCADA, automation, or industrial control systems, and you are motivated by working hands-on with implementation and integration.

Relevant experience includes:

• SCADA systems or industrial automation environments

• Communication protocols such as Modbus, OPC, DNP3, or IEC 104

• PLCs and system integration

• Network infrastructure in industrial environments

Experience from project-based work or customer-facing roles is an advantage. Your educational background is likely within engineering, automation, IT, or a related field.
