How you impact
Do you thrive at the intersection of technical expertise and commercial impact? As Technical Sales Manager, you will play a key role in driving sales of power system modelling and grid consultancy services by combining a strong technical understanding with commercial insight.
Acting as the bridge between customers, engineering specialists, and the commercial organization, you translate complex customer requirements into technically robust and commercially viable solutions.
In this role, you will support international, project-based sales and engage deeply in the technical scope of assignments, including grid-compliance studies and plant-level power-system models. Projects typically range from 10 MW to 600 MW and often involve close interaction with TSOs and regulatory stakeholders.
As an individual contributor, you will succeed through technical credibility, structured solution design, and close collaboration with delivery teams to ensure that proposed solutions are both feasible and aligned with customer needs.
Key responsibilities
Technical sales and solution design
Sales of high-quality power systems models and grid consultancy services
Engage deeply in technical dialogue with customers to understand grid, compliance, and modelling requirements
Contribute to solution design for grid compliance studies and plant-level power system models
Customer interactions with TSOs and regulatory authorities from a technical-commercial perspective
Commercialization of grid compliance studies and advisory services
Work with power system models in tools such as PSS/E and PSCAD at a conceptual and scoping level
Work closely with engineers, project managers, and commercial colleagues throughout the sales process
Bid preparation, technical input to proposals, and contractual clarifications
Contribute to the continuous improvement of offerings, templates, and technical sales material

High technical credibility in customer-facing sales situations
Successful conversion of technically complex opportunities into well-scoped projects
Strong alignment between sales commitments and delivery outcomes
Positive feedback from customers on technical clarity and professionalism
Effective collaboration with engineering and project delivery teams
Your background
Commercial & Technical capability
Engineering background within power systems, electrical engineering, or similar
Practical understanding of grid compliance, power system modelling, and regulated energy environments
Familiarity with tools such as PSS/E and PSCAD at a conceptual or practical level
Experience supporting or driving sales of technical, project-based, or consultancy services
Ability to translate complex technical topics into clear customer-facing value propositions
Experience with projects within wind (onshore/offshore), solar, or BESS
Exposure to grid connection processes and interaction with TSOs is a strong advantage
