Opoura is looking for a Senior Sales Executive to support and expand consultancy sales activities across existing and new enterprise customers within the energy sector and adjacent industries. The role combines strategic relationship-building, consultative sales execution, and working in close collaboration with technical and delivery teams to drive sustainable commercial growth.
The role
As our Senior Sales Executive you are responsible for driving consultancy sales related to OT and SCADA services.
You are highly proactive, commercially driven, and disciplined in customer follow-up and CRM management. You take ownership and responsibility, maintain a professional, relationship-focused dialogue, and you are motivated by delivering results, closing opportunities, and sustaining long-term customer trust.
The role is highly commercial and hands-on, managing customer dialogue, opportunity development, and sales execution with both existing clients and new prospects. It requires engaging with stakeholders at various levels within complex organizations, combining commercial insight with technical understanding to credibly interact with both decision-makers and specialists.
A significant part of the role involves expanding existing accounts and acquiring new clients, requiring strong relationship management skills. The role collaborates with Delivery, Operations, Marketing, and leadership to ensure sales commitments align with delivery capabilities, margins, and long-term customer relationships.
Key responsibilities
You will be responsible for consultancy sales across existing and new customers, and will:
Develop strategic relationships.
Identify and nurture opportunities based on market insights.
Support growth in current accounts.
Lead tenders and framework opportunities.
Ensure structured pipeline management and CRM discipline.
Expand into new enterprise markets within, or adjacent to, the energy sector.
Achieve commercial targets.
Maintain healthy margins with disciplined pricing.
Collaborate with Delivery for realistic scoping.
Support go-to-market activities with Marketing.
Stay informed on the OT landscape, customer needs, and consultancy strengths.
What does success look like
You will drive a sustainable growth in consultancy order intake across OT and SCADA services through:
Securing existing business for future contract periods, whilst also successfully expanding within the existing customer accounts
Initiating and expanding the customer base with carefully selected new enterprise customers
Strong commercial execution across complex consultative sales processes
Consistent contribution to margin protection and healthy business development
High-quality stakeholder management internally and externally
Strong collaboration with the Delivery and Operations teams, resulting in realistic customer commitments and predictable outcomes
Your background
We expect you to come with a strong foundation and be able to demonstrate most of the below, if not all:
Proven experience with complex B2B sales processes involving multiple stakeholders and long sales cycles, preferably towards enterprise-level customers
Experience selling consultancy services, technical solutions, or specialist services to enterprise customers or large, complex organizations.
Strong relationship-building and stakeholder management capabilities
Ability to operate independently and drive commercial activities proactively
Experience with hunter-style business development, combined with account growth responsibilities
Solid commercial understanding, including pricing, margin awareness, and opportunity qualification
Experience in OT, SCADA, energy, industrial, infrastructure, or related technical environments.
Ability to engage credibly in technical customer discussions and understand consultative solution selling.
