Field Operations Manager
Lead the people, planning, and project controls behind reliable field delivery across the US
About the job
Do you know how to turn complex field requirements into prepared teams, reliable execution, and financially controlled projects? Join Opoura as a Field Operations Manager and strengthen how we deliver technical field projects across the United States.
Your role
You will coordinate the people, equipment, customer communication, and project information behind successful field delivery. Acting as the link between customers, project managers, technicians, subcontractors, suppliers, Sales, and Finance, you will keep projects moving from planning and mobilization through execution and financial follow-up.
Key responsibilities
Plan field execution by coordinating site readiness, technician assignments, mobilization schedules, and required documentation.
Act as an operational contact for customers, clarifying project status, scope, milestones, and outstanding decisions.
Coordinate fiber design activities, equipment requirements, purchasing, rentals, returns, and supplier deliveries.
Guide employees and subcontractors, following up on progress, assignments, resource needs, and operational issues.
Maintain accurate project data in Business Central, including budgets, forecasts, costs, invoicing status, and expected completion.
Monitor financial and delivery performance, review employee submissions and subcontractor invoices, identify scope changes, and coordinate wage and hours requirements with the relevant internal teams.
To be successful in this position, you
Bring structure to multiple projects while adapting to changing priorities.
Build trust through clear, timely communication with customers, field resources, and colleagues.
Balance practical field decisions with commercial awareness and financial discipline.
Use project data to anticipate resource constraints, forecast changes, and delivery risks.
Address problems directly and escalate them with the context needed for sound decisions.
Turn lessons from project execution into practical improvements.
Your background
You have a well-rounded operational toolbox built through field operations, technical services, or project delivery. Formal education is less important than your ability to coordinate people, projects, and commercial information effectively.
We imagine that you bring:
Relevant experience in field operations or project delivery.
Experience coordinating technicians, subcontractors, or other mobile field resources.
Confidence guiding employees and handling day-to-day people responsibilities.
A practical understanding of project budgets, forecasts, costs, and invoicing.
Experience using ERP or project-management systems; preferably Business Central.
Clear communication skills in customer-facing and cross-functional situations.
Experience in renewable energy technology, fiber, telecommunications, or another technical industry is a strong advantage, but not a requirement.
What we offer
Professional growth opportunities in a role with broad operational and commercial exposure.
The opportunity to add visible value to our US organization and improve how field projects are delivered.
Collaboration with customers, field resources, and technical colleagues across an international renewable energy technology company.
A generous benefits package including a 401(k) plan and medical, life, and disability insurance.
Paid vacation agreed on an individual basis, in addition to 11 holidays and five personal days.
