Consulting role for customer assignments in Denmark.

As a Senior OT/IT Network & Infrastructure Architect at Opoura, you will work as a consultant on longer-term assignments with our customers in Denmark. You will be employed by Opoura, while your day-to-day work will primarily take place within the customer's organization.

We are currently seeing increasing demand for experienced OT/IT Architects and already have active customer needs and concrete opportunities where relevant profiles may come into consideration. To be able to move quickly when the right need is confirmed, we are building a talent pool of senior Architects with the technical depth and customer-facing experience to take ownership in complex OT environments.

This is not a vacancy tied to one specific customer or immediate start date. When your experience matches a current or upcoming assignment, however, the process can move quickly toward permanent employment with Opoura.

Your role

You will join OT Solutions within Opoura's Digital Services Business Unit. Your primary working environment will be with the customer, where you will collaborate with their specialists, operations teams, suppliers, engineering functions, and other technical stakeholders.

The exact scope will vary between assignments. You may work with OT/IT infrastructure architecture, industrial networks, secure connectivity, technical site intake, operational handover, lifecycle management, infrastructure platforms, or automation. The common denominator is that customers bring you in because they need senior technical judgment and someone who can take ownership of complex problems.

You should be comfortable moving between architecture and technical detail. This could mean defining an HLD or LLD, assessing an existing infrastructure environment, troubleshooting network issues, closing gaps before operational handover, or helping turn recurring infrastructure activities into more standardized and automated ways of working.

Assignments will typically last 6-12 months and may run longer. Over time, you should expect to move to new customer assignments as needs develop.

You will report to Kent Weiling, OT Solutions Manager, who will remain your direct manager and be available for sparring and alignment throughout your assignments.

Our current customers within this area are primarily located in Greater Copenhagen, the Triangle Region and Central Jutland. You should expect to work at the customer site around 2-3 days per week, combined with remote work and occasional time at Opoura's headquarters in Silkeborg. International travel is not expected.

Your main responsibilities

Depending on the customer assignment, you will:

• Shape and own OT/IT network and infrastructure solutions from technical assessment and architecture through implementation and operational handover.

• Design, assess, and troubleshoot industrial networks, including routing, switching, VLANs, segmentation, firewalls, VPNs, remote access, and site connectivity.

• Drive technical site intake and operational readiness, ensuring that documentation, access, monitoring, ownership, maintainability, and technical gaps are handled properly.

• Take technical ownership during implementation, commissioning, migrations, and complex root-cause analysis together with customer teams, suppliers, and operations.

Strengthen lifecycle management, standardization, and automation through reusable designs, Infrastructure as Code, source-of-truth data, templates, or automated validation where relevant.

To be successful in this position, you

• Quickly understand existing environments and make sound technical decisions without assuming a greenfield setup.

• Move confidently between architecture-level decisions and configuration-level technical detail.

• Build credibility with customers through clear reasoning, reliable delivery, and straightforward communication.

• Identify risks and gaps early, challenge assumptions constructively, and follow technical issues through to a practical resolution.

• Work independently within a customer organization while staying aligned with Opoura and adapting effectively when the assignment or technical context changes.

Your background

This is a senior technical position for an experienced Architect who can step into demanding OT environments and contribute with limited ramp-up. We are not looking for one narrowly defined CV, and you do not need to be equally deep in every technology area.

We expect that you bring several of the following:

• Substantial experience within network and infrastructure engineering or architecture, combined with strong exposure to OT, SCADA, industrial systems, or other operational environments.

• Proven experience taking infrastructure from assessment and architecture through implementation, handover, or operations.

• Strong industrial networking knowledge across areas such as routing, switching, segmentation, firewalls, VPNs, remote connectivity, and multi-site environments.

• Experience with infrastructure platforms and core services such as Windows Server, Linux, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, PKI, virtualization, storage, backup, and recovery.

• A practical understanding of secure and resilient OT infrastructure, including controlled access, hardening, maintainability, and lifecycle considerations.

• Experience with automation or Infrastructure as Code using technologies such as Python, PowerShell, Terraform, Ansible, Git-based CI/CD, APIs, or source-of-truth platforms is an advantage.

Professional fluency in English is required. Danish or another Scandinavian language is an advantage, particularly for assignments where Danish is part of the customer's day-to-day working environment.

Experience from wind, renewable energy, utilities, manufacturing, process industries, transport, system integration, or other critical infrastructure can all be relevant. Experience with technical site intake and transition to operations is particularly valuable.

The working setup is flexible within the requirements of each customer assignment, typically combining customer-site presence with remote work and occasional time with Opoura in Silkeborg.
